Introducing Zoolz 2.0

Symptoms:
Genie Backup Manager slows down or even halts when population files and folders and at verification phase

Cause:
The antivirus software is scanning the selected files and folders to be backed up

Resolution:
1-Go to Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services.
Check your antivirus application in the list, then right click on it and select properties.

In the field labeled “Path to executable” take the last part of the name which is with the extension .exe, for example, if you have Norton then, it will be navapsvc.exe

If you want to stop the AV application before starting the backup job then in the Pre command insert:

NET STOP NAVAPSVC

And after the backup is complete to start the AV application, in the Post job insert:

NET START NAVAPSVC
*This works on GBM Pro and Server Only
OR
2-Go into the configuration setup for Norton Antivirus and add the file type *.C000, and *.gbp(Pro, Server and Home v6.0 and up),  to the "exclusion" list. That way Norton doesn't virus scan the Genie-Soft intermediate file that are created before the validation phase.
