Adding more media formats for GBM to scan

When Backing up My Photos and My Media in GBM, GBM scans for the following extensions:

My Photos:

*.bmp,*.dib,*.jpg,*.jpeg,*.jpe,*.jfif,*.gif,*.tif,*.tiff,*.png

My Media:

*.au,*.snd,*.asf,*.wm,*.wmx,*.wmd,*.wma,*.wax,*.wmv,*.wvx,*.avi,*.wav,*.mpeg,*.mpg,
*.mpe,*.m1v,*.mp2,*.mpv2,*.mp2v,*.mpa,*.mp3,*.mid,*.midi,*.rmi,*.aif,*.aifc,*.aiff,*.rt,*.rm,
*.ram,*.ra,*.rmvb,*.rp,*.rv,*.mov,*.qt,*.m4a,*.m4p,*.mp1,*.mpga,*.ssm,*.sdp,*.3gp,*.mp4,
*.swa,*.3gpp,*.mpa,*.m1a,*.m1v,*.mqv,*.bwf

To add more formats to these lists, you may refer to the following

  1. Go to the path where GBM product is installed, default C:\Program Files\Genie-Soft\GBMAPPLICATION
    For LaCie editions go to:
    C:\Program Files\LaCie\ instead of C:\Program Files\Genie-soft
  2. Right-click myphotos.xml to add to the My Photos scan and mymedia.xml to add to My Media scan and open with notepad or html editor
  3. Add the extension you wish to browse for after the last extension and before the tab, for example if you wish to scan .dwg format, add the following ;*.dwg as shown in the following screenshot:

APPLIES TO

GBM 7.0 and above
