Sending the Scheduled Tasks History – (Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008)

The Scheduled Tasks History allows administrators to drill into all the instances of tasks that were executed during a configurable period of time. It provides information on their execution status, as well as the date and time they were run. You can use the history to determine why a task might have stopped, by viewing errors that may have encountered the task. Usually, you can search the Microsoft knowledge base http://support.microsoft.com/search/ with the error codes you are encountering and find fixes and workarounds for common errors.
Sending the Scheduled history to support:
Sometimes when users are encountering problems in scheduling, the support will ask to send the scheduled history, to do so, please follow these steps:
  1. Go to Start> Type Task Scheduler
  2. In the left side panel click Task Scheduler library> Click the job from the middle.
  3. Click the History Tab
  4. Right click the error file with the error sign next to it and select save events as.
  5. Attach the scheduled Tasks history to the ticket you have opened. For more information, about attaching files to your tickets click here
