How to install Genie Timeline silently via command line?

To run the installation silently, use the following command:
[GenieTimelineVERSION.exe] [/lang LANG_CODE_NUMBER] [/S] [/D=DIR_PATH]

Where:

GenieTimelineVERSION.exe is:

  • GenieTimeline3Pro.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2012 Pro
  • GenieTimeline3Home.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2012 Home
  • GenieTimeline3Server.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2012 Server
  • GenieTimeline4Pro.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2013 Pro
  • GenieTimeline4Home.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2013 Home
  • GenieTimeline4Server.exe if you are using Genie Timeline 2013 Server
/lang specifies the installation language. Omitting the parameter will install the default language; English

LANG_CODE_NUMBER is the code number for the language for example 1033 is to install English, for popular language code examples, please refer to the table below:

/ S to run the setup silently, the S must be uppercase. Omitting this parameter will run regular installation

/D specifies installation path; omitting this parameter will install in the default installation location; program files

DIR_PATH: Is the customized installation path, you must specify the full path with the program name and without quotations; i.e. “”.

Examples:
  1. If a user wants to install the English setup of Genie Timeline 2012 Pro, silently and without the setup backup wizard to appear to the default installation path (C:\Program files) use:

    2. GenieTimeline3Pro.exe /S
  2. If a user wishes to install the French version to C:\GTL:

    3. GenieTimeline3Pro.exe /lang 1036 /S /D=C:\GTL
