How can I exclude the contents of the Recycle Bin from all my backup jobs?

The Recycle Bin is a folder in which windows stored files/folders deleted by the user until the are permanently deleted by emptying the Bin.

With that in mind the user can exclude the contents of the recycle bin from his backup jobs using Genie Backup Manager’s Auto-Exclude functionality.

To do this:

1. Go to Tools - Preferences, select click on the auto-exclude tab then click Add
2. In the “Add auto-exclude rule” box type the following: c:\recycled … then click OK. This will exclude the Recycle Bin for the C drive
3. Repeat step 3 for all the drives/partitions in your machine. Substituting the drive letter C with the drive letter of the desired partition

Note: If you have Norton Auto Protection enabled you will also need to exclude folders called recycler from each drive as well.
